I'm not going to bother apologizing...
I'm back in Evansville for a bit after a whirlwind summer. The tuba/euphonium community recently had it's international conference, which I was in attendance at with my company - Just For Brass. We have these conferences every two years, the last one being in Denver, CO. I remember performing so much at that conference that I said I wasn't going to do that to myself again - - - well, I didn't! I stood in a trade stand booth for 10 hours/day, which might have been even harder than playing all day long!
On Wednesday Dad and I leave for our annual trip to Canada fishing. It's a great time, and usually when I come up with all of my bright ideas (CD recordings, grad schools, asking Mary to marry me) - so no telling what I'll have to tell you all by next week.
Katie (sister) graduated from Loyola Law School in May. Congrats to her on that one. I have to admit that I was a little miffed that they gave her a doctorate without a master's degree, but oh well. Just kidding Katie.
Carrie (other sister) graduated from Emory University in Atlanta as well. She is working at the CDC doing something that I don't understand. I'm a music geek, that's about it.
I'm a pretty busy guy right now. School starts in 7 weeks, the Arizona Academy Drum Corp is in the middle of their summer tour (doing well, hopefully - more on that later), I've got to drive back to Arizona next week with my best-bud Craig, and I have a load of planning to do with my companies! Too much to do! And - - - I'm getting married in a little over 100 days! AHHH!
Anyway, at least I'm busy - - - right? ;)
All for now.
- Pat
